Our client who offers a range of innovative, international financial products covering pensions, trusts and retirement plans, is seeking to recruit a Risk and Compliance Manager.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Manage the team responsible for Compliance Monitoring Program, File Reviews and resulting actions, Tax and Data Compliance.
Review and approve high risk cases.
Maintain compliance registers and track complaints through to completion and ensure regulatory returns completed and filed on time.
Act as the Compliance Officer and MLRO with the responsibilities associated with processing Suspicious Transaction Reports.
Act as a key contact with regulatory authorities.
Complete risk mitigation projects as and when necessary.
Report to the Board on changes in legislation and regulation effecting the business, CMP progress and trends, issues and risks identified errors, incidents and complaints.
Make recommendations to the Board on managing risks.
Provide staff and board training on financial crime and other compliance related topics.
Exercise and document judgement reflecting the risk appetite of the Board in considering client related compliance matters.
Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation and escalate if appropriate.
Manage the team in accordance with Company policy and values, including conducting performance reviews and any performance management requirements.
Complete any other duties as and when required to drive business success.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Maths. Candidates will possess considerable experience in similar role and hold a relevant professional qualification. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge in collating and summarising data, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
