Our client, an independent group of companies providing asset administration and management services, is seeking to recruit a Client Accountant.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Record the activity of the group entities, companies and trusts on the reporting system.
Reconcile the ledgers to strict deadlines and liaise with third parties to understand and justify the reconciling items.
Analyse the ledgers on a frequent basis to ensure the accuracy of the information held.
Assist the team with administrative tasks during periods of staff absences.
Prepare investment fund reconciliations.
Daily responsibility for the supervision of a small team which is located in Guernsey and Malta, including training of staff, delegation of work and ensuring that deadlines are met.
Assist with the data collection and preparation of quarterly board reports for the investment committee.
Provide full administrative and accounting cover when the Client Relationship Manager is absence from the office.
Ad hoc projects and other tasks as required.
Assist with the dealing of audit points raised during the annual audit.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Maths. Candidates will possess considerable experience in Client Accounting and hold a relevant professional qualification. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge of Audited Financial Statements using UK GAAP as well as Supervisory Skills, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills. There will be an occasional need to travel to Malta.
