Our client a well-established financial group, providing excellent quality and service to institutional and private clients, is seeking to recruit a Client Director for their Trust Department.

Consider the regulatory and resource impact of new business on the team and assist with review and oversight of the new business acceptance process.
Act as a consultant when deciding whether to accept, or decline new business opportunities prior to the involvement of the Compliance team and MD.
Contribute to discussions with respect to fee levels for prospective new clients.
Lead, motivate and perform management functions for employees who report to the position, including selection, performance management, development, work assignment and prioritisation.
Ensure adequacy of a qualified and diverse staff of employees able to meet established company objectives.
Act as an A signatory and have responsibility for banking and custodian relationships, held by Corporate teams clients.
Undertake line management responsibilities to ensure that the team members complete accurate detailed timesheets and have ownership for billing process.
Ensure that client documents, terms and conditions of business are appropriately agreed with all clients and all client and investor reviews are performed on time and action points are followed up.
Implement new systems and processes.
Build and retain key customer relationships through acting as Director of client entities, or being the escalation point for specified clients, where Directorship services are not provided.
Grow and retain existing clients, by ensuring a high level of service is provided by the team and by maintaining active engagement with clients, to identify future opportunities to provide additional services to clients.
Manage a portfolio of high net worth client relationships and direct reports.
Maintain a portfolio of client board directorships.
Support new business acquisition, including visiting prospective clients.
Identify opportunities from existing clients to generate referrals to other teams within the group.
Undertake some external marketing trips to promote the business.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be part or fully ICSA qualified, with solid experience in operations and business process management. Experience of dealing with companies listed on the London Stock Exchange or other exchanges, is highly desirable. Applicants will demonstrate excellent knowledge of Guernsey Fiduciary industry and regulatory requirements, as well as outstanding communication and presentation skills. It is a prerequisite to also exhibit strong team management, customer service and disciplined project management skills. The successful candidate will have good numerical and negotiation abilities, with effective interpersonal and relationship management skills. This role will suit an organised and proactive leader, who has the ability to work autonomously, leading by example and motivating the team to reach deadlines and goals.
