Compliance Assistant

Our client, an independent and privately owned organisation, based in Guernsey, licensed to provide professional trust and corporate services to clients worldwide, is seeking to recruit a Compliance Assistant.




Carry out Risk Assessments as required and perform AML reviews.
Undertake all tasks as requested in the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
Review files and transactions.
Assist within the Compliance Team as required by the Compliance Officer / MLRO / Senior Compliance Assistant.
Carry out any and all duties as required by Line Manager.
Perform daily screening of clients using an automated screening process, and to report/highlight findings.
Provide assistance to Operations Team on all compliance matters.
Maintain an awareness of the internal Compliance, AML and Internal Procedures Manual as well as the GFSC Handbook.
Inform and distribute international and national Sanctions as applied by the different authorities worldwide, including notices or instructions from the GFSC as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold or will be studying towards a relevant qualification and will demonstrate an awareness of the related Codes of Practice. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of Company and Trust Law and the regulatory environment. Applicants will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to plan and prioritise workloads efficiently. This role will suit a dynamic and flexible team player, who displays a commitment to a career in compliance. The successful candidate will benefit from the required training and guidance, which our client is willing to offer, to achieve a fully conversant level of the GFSC Handbook and of compliance operational procedures and systems.
