Our client a privately owned group of retail companies based in the Channel Islands, are seeking to recruit a Web Content Editor.

Collaborate with line manager, team members and other departments to ensure a cohesive marketing response is executed successfully across all digital channels.
Ensure excellence by creating copy briefs and curating all online content.
Proof-read, re-structure, edit and publish content to be fit-for-purpose online.
Apply best practice SEO to all on-site content.
Improve on-site presentation/illustration by collaborating with design, development and marketing teams.
Ensure content is accurate and complies with industry regulations.
Contribute to and provide regular and ad hoc reports when needed.
Work closely and liaise regularly with 3rd parties involved in online campaigns where necessary – particularly with regards to SEO and content.
Monitor and analyse key on-site engagement metrics using Google Analytics data and other available reports and analytics tools and make recommendations accordingly.
Gain a deep understanding of the brand proposition, position and values and uphold brand qualities and tone of voice.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to Degree Level or equivalent, in English, Journalism, Communications or Digital Marketing, along with relevant experience. Preference will be given to applicants with experience of Google Analytics, Hitwise, Moz, WebTrends and WordPress. Applicants will possess excellent IT abilities, such as Digital Content and Content Management systems, SEO, Keyword Research and solid Excel skills. Candidates will also possess excellent organisation, time management and communication skills. The successful candidate will demonstrate proof reading, editing and writing skills alongside management skills. This role will suit a proactive, motivated and professional team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
