Our independent client is seeking to recruit a Trust Officer to work within a small, busy team of Trust professionals.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Ensure the assigned portfolio is administered in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
Organise and review the daily workload of junior staff, monitoring progress to avoid backlogs and ensure that organisational and financial targets are met.
Provide training, feedback and guidance as necessary.
Ensure that client reviews are carried out in a timely manner.
Set up and maintain statutory records as required.
Carry out day to day bookkeeping and basic accounting for companies and trusts to trial balance and review such for more junior staff as necessary.
Liaise where appropriate with internal and external clients, third parties and professional intermediaries.
Ensure all relevant client information is contained in the client database and kept up to date as required.
Act as a responsible ‘B’ signatory within company policy.
Attend agreed relevant training and development courses to maintain and improve technical knowledge and assist in the development of more junior staff where applicable.
Ensure work processes comply with company compliance policies and legislative requirements as they relate to the job.
Maintain both structured and unstructured CPD to the required level according to qualification.
Comply with the company’s health and safety policy.
Any other reasonable duties as requested by the manager/directors.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant professional qualification along with 5-10 years' experience within a similar role. The successful applicant will have a good working knowledge of limited companies and setting up of new trusts, Excel and experience in preparing cash flows and budgets. The successful candidate must be capable of reviewing and understanding technical documentation and implementing the advice of professional advisors.
