Our client, an international specialist in private banking, lending and fiduciary services, discretionary investment management, custody and administered banking services, is seeking to recruit a Trainee Trust Administrator.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Prepare payments, foreign exchanges, intercompany and trust transfers.
Ensure effective cash management with no unauthorised overdrafts, regardless of the size and to ensure that deadlines for all types of cash management are adhered to.
Prepare correspondence to be reviewed by the line manager.
Assist senior members of staff, by providing continuity of service to the client base, to ensure customer service levels are maintained.
Record time accurately and promptly and assist in the collection of fees.
Ensure that debtors are kept to a minimum, by having no
unauthorised outstanding balances over 3 months old, which is key to the profitability of the Trust Company.
Manage the filing and profiling of documents, is completed in a timely manner, so that documentation is easily retrievable, when answering queries and searching for information.
Accurately construct written communications and prepare statutory documentation as applicable to the
administration of Trusts and Companies.
Produce an accurate recording of Trustees / Directors decisions, which shows a clear audit trail.
Prioritise and manage workload.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a good academic background and will demonstrate a desire to work in Trust and learn new skills. Applicants will be able to use MS Work, Excel and Outlook and will have strong written and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will be a flexible and customer focused team player, who is detail oriented and analytical. This role will suit a dynamic fast learner, who prioritises workloads, handles volume and deadlines in a professional and efficient manner, applying high attention to detail to all duties.
