Trainee Administrator

Our client, a leading provider of trust and wealth management services, is seeking to recruit a Trainee Trust & Retirement Structures Administrator.




Assisting colleagues in processing client requests for information, in a timely and accurate way.
Learning to understand the activities of client entities.
Preparing minutes, resolutions, arranging the execution of documentation and ensuring that client files are well maintained in an orderly fashion.
Maintaining a diary of actions made and planned for client entities, ensuring a thorough and organised approach that takes account of compliance and due diligence responsibilities.
Working as part of a small team to achieve departmental standards.
Taking responsibility for own personal development, in line with agreed annual performance appraisal objectives.
Undertaking other duties as may be required, in accordance with the demands of the role and development of the services provided.
Taking part in new business meetings, being involved in opening new files, updating databases, opening bank and investment accounts.
Scanning and filing documentation.
Working in accordance with the published Mission, Vision and Values of the Company.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum 5 GCSEs, with English and Mathematics at C grade, or above and will have a good working knowledge of how to operate Word, Excel and email systems. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a finance sector environment and / or hold, or who are willing to study towards a relevant professional qualification. It would be highly advantageous to have previous experience of manual and/or electronic client recording systems, an understanding of Compliance and KYC requirements and of relevant regulations on Money Laundering, countering Financial Crime, although this is not essential. Applicants will be numerate, diligent and well organised, demonstrating good attention to detail and client focus. The successful candidate will exhibit good communication skills, both written and verbal and will apply strong time management skills, coupled by a good work ethic.
