Our client, a full service community bank and a provider of specialised international financial services, requires a Temporary Senior Compliance Analyst for a period of 6 months.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Interpreting and applying relevant international and local regulations to the business (AML/CFT & Regulatory).
Performing monitoring in accordance with the Annual Compliance Quality Assurance Program and ensuring all action items raised as a result of said monitoring are escalated where appropriate and are worked to a conclusion.
Producing various management information reports for the Board, Senior Management and various committees regarding Compliance monitoring.
Analysing data and reports and producing meaningful and concise summaries.
Helping to encourage a compliance culture throughout the business.
Liaising effectively and persuasively with other managers and staff across the Bank,Trust Company departments and sister companies, so that compliance monitoring and training is effective and at the same time is viewed positively by management and staff.
Undertaking any ad-hoc requests by the Compliance Officer when necessary.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Banking, Investment and/or Fiduciary financial industry sectors, with some knowledge of Guernsey legislation and regulations including the Guernsey AML regulations. The successful applicant will have good analytical skills, accurate report preparation and report writing skills and the ability to work to exacting deadlines as part of a team and on their own initiative. The role will suit an adaptable individual with good communication, interpersonal and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work flexibly and ensure effective communication to all levels of staff.
