Our client requires a Temporary Project Support officer for a period of 6-9 months.

Responsibilities

Support Project Manager(s) in the ongoing development and implementation of appropriate processes, tools, templates and technologies to support the delivery of projects.
Provide secretariat support, including coordinating meetings, collecting meeting papers, taking minutes at project meetings, distributing information thereafter and maintaining the online project system and project communication media.
Coordinate the project team and contractor resource, ensuring that they are deployed and their travel and expenses are managed accordingly.
Maintain an awareness and up to date knowledge of the progress of company projects across the entire portfolio and to assist with stakeholder management and communication.
Ensure that projects follow the defined process for delivery, management and governance and that all deliverables and gateways follow the agreed portfolio processes.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be a proven communicator and be able to deal with people at all levels. Applicants with experience of MS Project Management principles and techniques and who hold a Prince 2 Foundation/Practitioner qualification would be advantageous, although training will be given to the right candidate. They will have solid organisation skills, the ability to self- motivate and multi-task, as well as the ability to write reports and take minutes. The successful candidate will be able to build strong working relationships and work as part of a team and be disciplined in information gathering and collation, ensuring to follow procedures with high attention to detail and the ability to identify information or situations requiring escalation. They will ideally have an understanding of the project lifecycle with intermediate IT skills, a proactive approach and the ability to manage conflicting priorities and work to deadlines.
