Do you have several years' experience of financial services work, with an understanding of regulatory and CDD issues and have you finished your current contract and are looking for a new placement? If so, this 6 month rolling contract could be ideal for you.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Reviewing all work (including valuations, investor dealing and system input) before handing over to a colleague for review.
Attending agreed relevant courses to improve technical knowledge and assisting in providing coaching for trainees when applicable.
Keeping the manager/assistant manager up to date with progress on work and ensuring colleagues are aware of pending items prior to annual leave.
Assisting other colleagues within the team or others when they are in need of support and sharing existing knowledge and skills for the benefit of the team.
Identifying and evaluating options to resolve problems on own initiative.
Demonstrating sound knowledge of client affairs for a defined portfolio, ensuring statutory obligations and client instructions are fulfilled as directed by the Manager.
Ensuring that all necessary statutory records are set up and maintained for a defined portfolio of clients, utilising the assistance of junior staff as appropriate and provide instruction and guidance when required.
Ensuring that the day to day bookkeeping is accurate and up to date and assisting in the production of accounts for a defined portfolio of Funds.
Reviewing daily work including diary notes and where appropriate also the work of junior staff.
Being fully conversant with office policy pertaining to signing powers, prior to reviewing and signing any correspondence in the capacity as a ‘B’ signatory and bring any problems or anomalies to the attention of the Manager at the earliest opportunity.

Skills / Qualifications

Several years’ experience of financial services work, including experience within a Fund role and a thorough understanding of regulatory and CDD issues and effective communication skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels, along with high accuracy and attention to detail, proven IT skills and the ability to work in a timely manner, and to meet deadlines when under pressure are essential to the role.
