Our client, an international and highly regarded wealth management firm, is seeking to recruit a Team Leader for their Private Equity Accounting Team.

Duties for this role will include, but will not be limited to:

Demonstrating professional judgement and attitude in all aspects of work.
Promoting effective communication via individual 1:2:1 and team meetings.
Maintaining a strong relationship with the client, auditors, administration team and other company departments.
Enabling the development of partners by increasing their technical knowledge and skill sets.
Providing and enabling on the job training and ensuring that all procedures are kept up to date and are adhered to on a daily basis.
Establishling concise timetables for all key deliverables and ensuring that these are adhered to by the team.
Identifying system and process enhancements for discussion and following approval, coordinating the introduction of such enhancements.
Prioritising assignments, providing continuous feedback to staff and escalating issues appropriately.
Advising on potential accounting issues and current best practises as well as sharing knowledge, expertise and guidance with both the team and the client.
Understanding complex transactions and be a point of contact for technical accounting matters across the PE department.
Designing pro forma accounts as required, ensuring they are in accordance with appropriate regulations and standards and agreed with clients and auditors.
Overseeing the preparation of the relevant tax information or accounting statements up to and including presentation to the Board of Directors.
Ensuring that the FRR and LRR calculations for Guernsey licensee entities are completed and that all statutory accounts are filed within the relevant deadlines.
Preparing financial reporting.
Developing client specific knowledge to facilitate the delivery of ad-hoc queries.
Attending board meeting and to presenting financial reporting to the client and board members.
Ensuring the completion of accurate complex fund valuations, distributions, calls and drawdowns, management fees and other calculations where necessary.
Completing company internal reporting as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience in a similar role, hold a relevant professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA, and demonstrate experience and knowledge in UK GAAP, IFRS, Guernsey Company, POI, Partnership Laws and Investran. Applicants will have proven people management credentials, strong leadership and change management attributes and the confidence to communicate directly with clients and other senior stakeholders. The role will suit a team player with advanced IT skills, excellent communication, analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to manage deadlines in a pressurised environment.
