Team Leader Private Equity

Our client, a large financial organisation, requires a Private Equity Administration Team Leader.

Responsibilities

Ensure that operational arrangements are clearly established during the inception of a fund and regularly reviewed/updated going forward.
Ensure that documentation relating to legal and compliance issues are complete.
Monitor and ensure consistent high standards of client services.
Address client issues or complaints clearly and effectively.
Oversee the call and distribution processes, including review of payments, notices and sign off of completed files.
Supervise the investment process, including review and approval of legal documents, payments and client recommendations.
Carry out and review bookkeeping.
Prepare accounting timetables.
Present operational matters to the Board of Directors.
Record the Board’s comments/action points and ensure that they are followed up.
Ensure minutes are produced to a high standard and within set deadlines.
Act as a Director on client companies.
Attend and action meetings.
Authorise instructions as an A signatory.
Monitor fees and debtor control with a view to maximising recovery rates.
Lead and coordinate the Client Service Team.
Hold a thorough background knowledge of entities worked on by the team.
Develop and maintain effective channels of communication at all levels.
Ensure that absence of staff is covered.
Carry out staff appraisals.
Lead by example and promote teamwork.
Provide effective training to the team.
Develop, train and motivate the team, to achieve business objectives.
Manage interim reviews, coaching and evaluation of the results.
Discuss objectives with the team and encourage constructive feedback.
Keep the Department Manager informed of significant developments.
Carry out ad hoc projects, as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant professional qualification such as ACCA, or ICSA, or will be qualified by experience, with an essential minimum of 5 years' experience preferably in funds/private equity. Applicants will have excellent communication, management and interpersonal skills and will be proficient in IT. This role will suit a highly organised, client focused and mature team leader, who is able to manage time effectively and lead by example, as well as maintaining a positive and enthusiastic approach to all tasks.
