Systems Administrator

Our client, a non-finance company is seeking to recruit a Systems Administrator.

Responsibilities

Managing the internal helpdesk.
Maintaining, improve and create SQL Scripts.
Carrying out general Magento website maintenance.
Assisting with Filemaker Pro maintenance and development.
Maintaining the 3CX IP telephone system.
Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems, printers and applications.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance upgrades.
Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware, or software faults.
Providing administrative support, to include procedural documentation and relevant reports.
Following diagrams and written instructions, to repair a fault, or set up a system.
Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
Setting up new users' accounts and profiles and dealing with password issues.
Responding within agreed time limits to call-outs.
Prioritising and managing various open cases at one time.
Testing and evaluating new technology.
Establishing and maintaining good working relationship with stakeholders and other professionals, such as software developers and suppliers.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good academic background, along with relevant experience in a similar role. It is essential to possess Filemaker Development skills and preference will be given to certified developers, although candidates who can fix, enhance, design and write complex scripts in Filemaker, will also be considered. Ecommerce experience would also be highly advantageous. Applicants will have excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel, along with outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate good organisation and interpersonal skills, coupled by a high level of patience and the ability to work under own initiative. This role will suit a meticulous and logical thinker, who draws plans and strategies efficiently and who is confident working under pressure.
