Service Desk Analyst

Our client a specialist in wealth management, operational in 11 countries across the globe, is seeking to recruit a Service Desk Analyst.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Carry out call logging including timely call completion.
Provide first level application support, as well as first and second level desktop support.
Address incident resolution.
Monitor critical components.
Process purchase orders.
Assist with printers, scanners, mobile phones, Blackberry IP Telephony and fax machines.
Carry out PC and laptop build and distribution.
Provide virtual service desk support.
Manage and administer accounts.
Assist with office moves.
Update procedures and documentation, as appropriate.
Provide disaster recovery support and administration, as well as follow up actions.
Maintain HW/SW inventories.
Provide local general IT support.
Liaise with counterparts in other regions.
Act as local point of contact for escalations.
Administer the Computer Equipment Room.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an IT qualification and some relevant practical experience, preferably in a financial environment. To have knowledge of legal regulatory and industry requirements, business processes, standards, policies and procedures would be highly advantageous. Applicants will possess excellent communication and planning skills, along with the ability to adapt easily to changes in work load, within a fast paced pressurised environment. This role will suit a professional, reliable and organised team player, who is able to build and maintain effective working relationships, as well as demonstrating a strong analytical approach to all tasks.
