Our client, a firm of Chartered Accountants, is seeking to recruit a Senior Trust Administrator. The roleholder will play an active role in a team of trust and company administrators to deliver a high quality service in the daily administration and accounting of a portfolio of Trust, Company and Private Client relationships.

Responsibilities

Administrating a portfolio of clients, keeping the Client Group Manager appraised of ongoing activity, to include; preparing statutory records, preparing payments, undertaking bookkeeping, filing of client records, liaising with clients and third parties.
Organising own work-flows and those of trainees, as required, so that nothing gets forgotten or overlooked.
Maintaining a good knowledge of trust and company administration practice, compliance and anti-money laundering regulations
Demonstrating an understanding of the logic behind a corporate entity and the reasons our clients use companies and of the logic of a trust and why our clients establish trusts, to include more complex trust and company arrangements.
Mentoring and liaising with Trainee Administrators and Administrators on all day to day matters coming within scope of their daily duties, delegating administrative tasks as appropriate.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to A level standard or equivalent with good English and Math. Candidates will possess 3 years' experience within a trust accounting role or an administrative role and hold a relevant professional qualification or part qualified in; STEP, ICSA, ACCA, ACA. Candidates will demonstrate solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
