Senior Fund Accountant

Our client, a leading international finance organisation, with a presence in 75 countries, is seeking to recruit a Senior Fund Accountant.

Responsibilities

Prepare, review and analyse of monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual Financial Statements, with supporting documentation under various accounting standards, such as IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP.
Complete monthly valuations, reconciliations of fund draw downs and distributions, accruals and expenses.
Input double entry bookkeeping to the accounting system.
Perform cash reconciliations and management of the Funds.
Prepare drawdown, equalisation and distribution calculations.
Produce Fund investor capital statements.
Prepare Fund and investor IRR calculation.
Attend client and audit meetings, in relation to the provision of financial statements to investors.
Liaise with various external and internal parties in the daily accounting of the Fund and other custom reporting and projects for specific investor needs.
Deal with internal and external auditors and assist with the year-end/interim audit process, via a monitored timetable and audit requirement list.
Provide input in relation to the review and monitoring of existing business process, procedures and checklists to maximise efficiency and productivity in the Private Equity Team.
Execute group project opportunities, relating to the implementation of new product accounting and operational procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a professional qualification in accounting, with solid experience within the finance industry, in accounts preparation or valuation in equity, debt, or private wealth funds. Applicants will have excellent working knowledge of various private equity fund structures (GP/LP/Feeder) and the accounting for these structures, coupled by strong knowledge US GAAP/UK GAAP/IFRS. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word, along with the ability to prioritise workloads efficiently and pay good attention to detail at all times.
