Our client, a leading financial services provider with offices in multi jurisdictional locations, is seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Systems Accountant.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Interpretation of accounting and administration requirements, design and implementation of
solutions to requirements and configuration of the systems to meet the demands of our clients.
Monitoring the progress of tickets raised via the support desk and ensuring reporting lines are
completing tickets in a timely manner, keeping client teams appraised of progress.
Application and report testing (System Integration Testing) and reconciliation activities in line with
testing strategy.
Communicate clearly with other members of the team and members of the client facing teams, both
verbally and in writing, when gathering or explaining requirements, providing resolutions etc.
Consideration of scalable solutions, and to maintaining a core configuration, with continual group
Improvements.
Act as lead contact for large client migration projects.
Taking an active role in the migrations from FIC to FIA, supporting the client teams with data
reconciliation, performing data uploads etc. monitoring progress and communicating with the
migration lead, technical lead and project manager

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to minimum A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Math. Candidates will possess experience in private equity or real assets or a similar position and hold a relevant professional qualification such ACCA, ACA, ICSA or an relevant IT qualification. Candidates will demonstrate strong technical financial services industry knowledge and familiarity with programming languages such as VBA and VB script, SAS and Transact-SQL, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
