Our client is seeking to recruit a Senior Administrator -Reconciliation Technician.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Approve renewal calculations.
Issue client invoices, including deposit and regular invoices.
Assist with reconciling client renewal accounts in order to issue final invoices, including adjustments whether simplified or full admin basis.
Offer support with allocating premiums received promptly and accurately by completing the reconciliation process.
Monitor suspense accounts for unallocated premiums.
Reconcile commission accounts and make regular commission payments as required.
Monitor debtors and coordinate debtor chasing and referral as appropriate.
Assist in the calculation of claim adjustments or escalations as required.
Calculate manual adjustments where necessary and prepare journals.
Monitor any manual invoice workaround.
Ensure billing records are kept up to date and invoices are issued timely as per KPIs.
Offer support with allocating receipts promptly and accurately.
Monitor premium debtors and report to management.
Assist with monitoring fees due to ensure prompt payment of invoices and refer as appropriate.
Ensure commission is paid in line with intermediaries’ Terms of Business.
Maintain a clear audit trail of reconciliations.
Develop accountability within the team and an understanding of the correlation between team efficiency and profitability.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have good academic qualifications with previous banking experience or knowledge of international banking and accounting or bookkeeping experience. The successful applicant will provide a professional and client focused approach with a willingness to learn and understand proprietary systems and the ability to use initiative and contribute to the enhancement of processes and procedures to maximise efficiencies. The role will suit a highly numerate and organised individual with excellent attention to detail, with proven accuracy, communication and problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
