Our client, a financial services provider, is seeking to recruit a Senior Administrator for their Administration and Valuations Team.

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Undertake double entry bookkeeping and preparation of periodic management accounts for clients.
Prepare and review VAT returns, payments and refunds.
Input and review payments and transactions via a number of online banking platforms.
Advise and review bookkeeping and account preparation for junior members of the team.
Set up client bank accounts.
Assist with the administration of a specific client base.
Advise and support junior members of the team with workflow.
Act as a bank signatory.
Prepare and monitor team procedures and processes.
Ensure timely regulatory reporting to the GFSC.
Prepare general correspondence for clients and connected parties.
Understand and comply with appropriate jurisdictional laws and regulations.
Carry out all duties in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
Establish good working relationships with colleagues and business partners.
Understand and comply with anti-money laundering regulations.

Skills / Qualifications

This role would suit someone who has completed their CAT qualifications, is part ACCA qualified or has significant experience of bookkeeping for financial entities. The successful candidate will at all times be responsible for completing tasks allocated by the line manager or any other director or employee of the company with authority acknowledged or delegated by that person. Candidates will have excellent literacy and numeracy skills as well as solid IT abilities, and will display excellent written and verbal communication and organisational techniques. This role will suit a motivated and practical team player with strong interpersonal skills.
