Our client, a large banking organisation, offering private and offshore banking, as well as investment and asset management services, is seeking to recruit a Relationship Manager for their Trust and Corporates Team.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Sourcing and developing relationships and business opportunities within the offshore trust and corporate sector.
Delivering personal targets and objectives set in accordance with the team’s agreed strategy.
Ensuring that an exceptional service is provided to clients at all times.
Delivering personal targets and objectives, such as self-initiation of business development and relationship management.
Developing a contact strategy with existing and new clients.
Leveraging existing and selectively establishing new relationships.
Ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements and maintaining the highest risk standards.
Sourcing new relationships, strengthening existing client relationships and identifying new, diversified income stream opportunities.
Promoting the group’s lending and foreign exchange offering and achieving the agreed foreign exchange and lending targets.
Ensuring that the deposit mix of tenures are appropriate with an acceptable balance between liquidity tenures and WACF.
Promoting other group service areas, specifically but not limited to wealth management and structured solutions.
Assessing financial performance and key measures in a timely manner, addressing any shortcomings, thus ensuring delivery against objectives.
Working closely with the client onboarding and compliance teams, to ensure that all account opening and account/client risk assessment/monitoring in respect of anti-money laundering procedures are followed and satisfied.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess considerable experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in sales, business development and relationship management. It is essential to demonstrate a good understanding of treasury, capital markets and lending along with an overview of the investments markets to include bonds, equities, principal protected and structured solution. Applicants will have a good understanding of the regulatory environment relevant to the job, with solid exposure to management of regulatory risk in a large financial institution. It is also a prerequisite to have a detailed knowledge of the general tools and techniques of account opening, the banking product suite and service delivery, along with an overview of the investments markets to include bonds, equities, principal protected and structured solutions. This role will suit a self-motivated, driven and goal orientated individual, who applies strong evaluation, interpersonal and influencing skills, whilst being resourceful in creating solutions.
