Our client, a large Channel Islands’ service provider in the telecommunications sector, is seeking to recruit a Professional Services Associate Consultant.

Responsibilities

Ensure the successful delivery of customer premises communication and application solution requirements in line with group sales, design, transition targets and standards.
Assist with documenting and packaging delivered solutions adhering to appropriate company operational, maintenance and provisioning procedures to ensure the reliable managed services type operation of the delivered solutions to meet ongoing customer needs and service levels.
Provide second and third level support for UC, network, firewall and security services to agreed OLAs.
Work closely with consultants, observe and assist in the service strategy, design, planning and execution of advanced customer facing communication solution projects.
Adhere to team ethics, standards and agreed target objectives.
Support development of Products within the business that meet customers’ needs and requirements.
Provide support to SME sales teams in pre-sales and design of customer solutions.
Undertake consultative tasks to support revenue growth.
Lead consultative discovery workshop sessions with stakeholders to gather requirements and critical business challenges for SME.
Manage the Essential support database and resign process with Service Management.
Actively manage the Secure Password Database to ensure PS are compliant with company and customer policies.
Assist in the mentoring and development of apprentice and professional service engineers.
Create, manage and adhere to strict 'Statements of Works' and 'Project Management' responsibilities within the company's project management methodology and framework.
When a solution or troubleshooting event requires additional expertise, provide customer assistance by escalating to internal or external development or manufacturer sources as required until a solution is reached.
Participate in consultations and/or product capability assessments with wider teams and Product Management.
Undertake mandatory participation in the out of hour’s standby and call out scheme with a contractual obligation to provide call out cover for Managed Services in operation.
Participate in approved overtime in conjunction with Professional Services projects and events (Authorised by Head of Professional Services Engineering).
Coordinate and liaise with other manufacturers and suppliers associated with the deployment and ongoing support of the company's customer base.
Plan and evaluate and/or develop a sound understanding of new technologies and a perception of the practical applications and commercial implications of new and emerging technology in relation to IP/Core and associated services and/or applications.
Provide assistance to sales and product teams with technical input for pre-sales bids.
Assist with including technical consultation in the selection of equipment vendors and other equipment and/or services.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in the telecommunications sector, along with proven history of pre-sales roles for telecommunications service providers/vendors and will hold a relevant qualification. Demonstrable experience and maintenance of the following is required: Mitel Certified Professional Communications, Unified Communications and Collaboration, as well as Mitel Certified Associate Cloud. Demonstrable experience and maintenance of Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching is essential to the role, as is extensive product knowledge covering Mitel, VM, Application and other industry standard solutions including SIP trunking deployment with a working knowledge of networking. Applicants will also have experience of designing complex networks and the ability to manage projects independently; demonstrating a strong knowledge of Mitel Mivoice Business, MiCollab, Mitel Border Gateway, Mitel IVR, Ribbon/Sonus SBC1000/2000, and Redbox Call Recording. The ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, collaborative environment is also required. The successful candidate will be able to communicate clearly to people at all levels and will provide excellent customer care. The role will suit a confident and highly motivated individual who is able to work within teams or independently, with or without direct supervision and trust. The successful applicant will be prepared to travel in association with solution deliveries, as needed.
