Our client, a provider of a wide range of financial services, for private and corporate clients, is seeking to recruit a Private Client Services Manager.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Manage the daily tax administration of a client portfolio, including the supervision of work, undertaken by administrators.
Provide Tax advisory services for residence, or domicile issues, migration between jurisdictions, benefits of wealth structuring through trusts and companies, general Tax planning and corporate residence issues, amongst others.
Handle Guernsey Income Tax Office/HMRC enquiries, along with corporate Tax issues, including those related to, BEPS, Diverted Profits Tax, CFC legislation and Double Taxation treaties.
Monitor UK Tax compliance, reporting and associated issues.
Deal with HMRC enquiries and restructuring in conjunction with migration, or following a change in domicile.
Manage reporting fund UK Tax compliance and ad hoc advice, including shareholder reporting and structuring.
Provide advice to Guernsey resident HNW individuals, on Tax effective structuring of investment, or business acquisitions, disposing of UK assets, investment Tax, the effective structuring of UK employment, or consultancy arrangements and the transfer of UK pension interests, to approved Guernsey schemes.
Utilise Guernsey companies and trusts, for effective wealth structuring, asset protection and Tax planning, such as inward investment into the UK.
Review the Tax treatment, of various types of investment and Tax efficient investment strategies.
Manage, monitor and contribute to the delivery of key financial performance targets.
Ensure that Guernsey and anti-money laundering and terrorist financing regulations, are complied with, reporting any suspicious activity or transactions.
Maintain client due diligence and record keeping.
Undertake other duties, as reasonably required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Maths. Candidates will possess considerable experience in Private Client Tax, and hold either an ACCA or CTA qualification, although candidates with considerable experience in Tax will be considered. Candidates will possess solid IT abilities, strong organisation, time management and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to deal, interact and liaise with private clients at a professional level, whilst also meeting deadlines and prioritising tasks. This role will suit a motivated, meticulous and proactive team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
