Our client, a leading group within the international trust and pension industries, is seeking to recruit a Pensions Manager.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Manage the Pensions Team and monitor performance, including organisation and delegation of tasks.
Ensure that the monthly corporate sign off forms are completed in a timely manner.
Prepare and submit effective information to the Director for quarterly Board reports.
Provide regular updates to the Director on the team’s performance and challenges, or successes.
Act as an A signatory.
Train and develop the team and deal with daily staff matters.
Set objectives and undertake staff appraisals.
Manage absence requests and ensure adequate cover at all times.
Ensure compliance with legislation, to facilitate new business take-on.
Administer established pensions effectively and ensure efficient and timely contact with clients, intermediaries and relationship managers.
Ensure that transactional billing is recorded, charged and that all GAD calculations are completed with payments made on time.
Obtain dealing instructions and execute these in accordance with the mandate.
Answer technical pension queries from clients, advisors, management, peers and team.
Prepare, write and keep Pensions’ procedures current.
Complete UK Source Income forms.
Send all scheduled investment reviews for scanning and filing.
Making and checking changes to 5 Series.
Completing all scheduled risk reviews.
Ensure that all income / fee payments have been administered and executed correctly, with all transactional information sent to the bookkeepers.
Maintain accurate data on all client files together with full documentation.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the financial services industry, with transferable skills to fiduciary and pensions services and will hold, or be willing to study towards a relevant professional qualification. Applicants will have excellent knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook, along with experience of high level and complex customer services and will demonstrate proven people management skills. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills and will be able to build trust and confidence within the team. This role will suit a driven team player, with a strong work ethic, committed to delivering excellent customer focused services, in a time sensitive environment.
