Our client, a trusted provider of pension solutions to a number of Guernsey companies, is seeking to recruit a Pension Supervisor. This position will involve the daily running of a portfolio of clients in respect of a variety of pension arrangements, including those of a complex nature, and participation in the overall supervision of a growing team of administration staff.

Ensure that statutory records are kept up to date and are accurately maintained at all times.
Carry out an annual review of all entities within a portfolio.
Liaise with respective departments regarding accounting and taxation issues.
Meet and communicate with clients and intermediaries both by telephone and in writing.
Assist more junior staff with queries or problems being encountered and assist in the resolution thereof.
Staff management duties may include direct, daily team management; ensuring that team members receive the necessary training; controlling and delegating the team’s workload; and completing annual and optional six monthly appraisals for team members.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level standard with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, and will hold or be studying for a relevant professional qualification. In addition to previous experience of managing a portfolio of clients, the successful applicant will demonstrate excellent communication, writing and numeracy skills. Candidates need to hold supervisory skills and be able to work to deadlines with the minimum of supervision, whilst maintaining a positive, 'can do' attitude and being a strong team player.
