Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Duties will include, but will not be limited to;

Inputting monthly payroll instructions to the payroll system for offshore/onshore employees manually or via spreadsheet interface documents.
Consulting with the relevant HR team regarding payroll instructions as required.
Managing and inputting onshore variable pension amounts each month.
Assisting with sending the finalised monthly employee figures to the Dutch tax payroll provider for the Dutch tax calculations and inputting relevant tax deductions upon return.
Updating staff tax codes provided by HMRC for UK tax employees.
Preparing payroll reports for checking before processing.
Providing support with transferring salaries to the bank system for payment.
Preparing reports from the payroll system as required, including pension payment reports.
Ensuring that other letters relating to employment are sent to employees as required, such as salary increases, promotions, transfers, confirmation to salary and acceptance of resignation.
Preparing and issuing employee documentation including contracts, letter of assignments and pension/health care information.
Monitoring the return of signed documents.
Advising and/or responding to any queries that employees may have relating to their employment conditions or salary payments.
Registering new employees with the relevant health care provider and assisting with any changes they wish to make to their plan.
Liaising with the pension and health care providers to advise them of any new members or updates related to existing policies.
Assisting with postings to the accounts system if required.

Skills / Qualifications

Maths and English GCSE at level B, or equivalent, with good organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail, with solid IT skills and preferable knowledge of databases, an inquisitive mind in relation to information received and the ability to work on your own initiative are essential to the role.
