Our client is seeking to recruit an IT Support Assistant.

Location

Guernsey, Channel Islands

Responsibilities

Providing support with installing and maintaining workstation equipment, including docks and monitors.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, networks and applications.
Assisting with the testing of new technology and repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
Providing guidance to end-users.
Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
Offering support with accurately recording, monitoring and progressing service tickets.
Creating and undertaking ongoing maintenance of user accounts and groups.
Providing technical support across the company in person, remotely, or over the phone.
Assisting with installing, updating and maintaining end-user laptops and desktops.
Offering support with installing and updating software.
Providing telephony equipment, such as mobiles and desktops.


Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will hold a BTEC level 3 or Diploma in Computer Science and have at least 1 year's experience in a similar role. Applicants will be confident answering help desk queries and have a proven interest in IT with a willingness to learn and progress. The successful candidate will have a technical and logical thought process with a keen eye for detail and the ability to prioritise workloads. They will have excellent written and verbal communication and organisation skills, be good with problem solving with the ability to stick to deadlines in a pressurised environment.
