Our client, a leading offshore law firm advising international financial institutions, corporations and private clients, is seeking to recruit an Infrastructure Security Analyst.

Conduct a continuous risk assessment of the provision of technology services, to assess risks and vulnerabilities across the estate.
Advise management early on situations that may require additional support or escalation. E.g. security incidents / system issues / user concerns.
Improve and enhance the team's IT Governance policies, processes and procedures to meet client security and audit requirements, and reduce the risk levels in the operation of the firm's infrastructure and networks.
Maintain an awareness of cyber security risks that exist and escalate any events or concerns that are encountered.
Carry out all tasks in a secure manner.
Assist in the creation of information security policies and procedures and the related security awareness programs to both end users and technical staff.
Analyse, troubleshoot, and remediate issues with various IT security devices and work closely with Infrastructure analysts.
Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of compliance to security policies.
Participate in the response, investigation and resolution of security incidents.
Perform periodic and ad-hoc system security audits and assessments.
Assist in the coordination of third parties to help complete the required assessments when relevant.
Hold responsibility for managing and coordinating all security investigations upon request.
Contribute to the firm's Technology Strategy and Information Security Strategy development.
Analyse vulnerability reports and apply appropriate patches.
Assist with contract and vendor management issues related to security requirements and projects.
Stay up to date on the latest methods attackers are using to infiltrate computer systems and on IT security.
Research new security technology to decide what will most effectively protect the firm.
Analyse and evaluate anomalous network and system activity.
Detect vulnerabilities of hardware and software products prior to installation on the production network
Coordinate the most secure remediation strategy and implementation of appropriate solution to vulnerability
Maintain an understanding of information security concepts such as Security Architecture and Design, Information Security Standards and Technical Security Risk Assessment.
Recommend security enhancements to management and Technology staff.
Assist computer users when they need to install or learn about new security products and procedures
Encourage staff awareness of cyber security risks and of best practice guidelines.
Serve as a liaison between other technical staff, management, users, and vendors regarding service requests, usage, standards, security, and other technical matters.
Evaluate infrastructure security systems and software for purchase.
Recommend new configurations, develop cost estimates and make recommendations for systems development and upgrades to existing systems.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard, with good English and Maths, coupled with considerable experience in a relevant role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with Microsoft Windows, Exchange, and SQL Platforms, Citrix environments and Hyper V Virtualisation. Candidates will also demonstrate experience with Security systems, including Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Anti-Virus Software, Authentication Systems, Log Management and Content Filtering. The successful candidate will possess strong IT abilities, solid organisation, time management and excellent communication skills, coupled with a working knowledge of ISO, 17799/27—1, ITIL, CobiT, IDS/IPS Systems and Endpoint Security. This role will suit an analytical, focused and motivated team player with an helpful and enthusiastic approach to problem solving and customer service.
