Our client, an independent group of companies providing asset administration and management services, is seeking to recruit an HR Officer.

Responsibilities

Assist with the administration of external general training which will include the booking of external courses and ensure that individual training histories are kept up to date.
Prepare induction packs for all new staff, responsible for the setup of staff files and input staff details on Profile Enterprise and set up of the Absence Intranet.
Assist with the induction training of new staff.
Provide assistance with the preparation of one or more of the Guernsey payroll. Submit the quarterly returns to the Income Tax Authority and Social Security by the set deadlines.
Monitor levels of absence attributed to holiday and sickness.
Assist with the recruitment process which may include CV tracking, attending interviews, preparation of standard letters and contracts and liaison with recruitment agencies, as required.
Prepare annual appraisal forms together with ensuring that the forms are distributed in a timely manner and that training objectives highlighted are recorded on the training log and suitable courses identified.
Maintain the PDP log and ensure objectives are reviewed in line with review and target dates.
Assist with the update of the Group’s organisation charts and job descriptions.
Act as a point of contact for staff and deal with matters in a professional and timely manner.
Assist with ad hoc projects as required.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant HR role and will be studying towards or hold a CPID Level 3 qualification. Applicants will demonstrate excellent IT abilities, along with solid communication and organisational skills as well as an understanding of Guernsey Employment Legislation. The successful candidate will display the ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision. This role will suit a proactive and positive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
