Fund Administrator

Our client, a leading independent provider of specialist financial services, is seeking to recruit a Fund Administrator.

Responsibilities

Liaise with the investment advisor, fund directors, accountants, bankers and other related entities, in order to administer the funds.
Deal with all in-coming fund queries in an effective and timely manner as well as other general administration tasks.
Calculate and pay all fees and expenses on behalf of the funds and arrange approval and payment of all fund invoices received.
Ensure that the funds' cash is held in accordance with the scheme particulars and arrange the transfer of funds for investment purchases and distributions, within the required deadlines.
Arrange foreign exchange deals.
Review the cash position, ensuring that funds are available to cover all payments due and investing surplus cash, to maximise the client's income.
Reconcile bank accounts in accordance with the company's agreed procedures and follow up any outstanding reconciling items.
Ensure that the funds operate within their investment guidelines and meet their ongoing statutory and regulatory requirements.
Maintain investor data and registers to a high standard of accuracy.
Assist with the arrangement and coordination of board meetings.
Produce agendas, board packs and assist with directors' arrangements.
Draft minutes of ad hoc client board and committee meetings.
Ensure that the bookkeeping and accounting transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good academic background with strong Literacy and Numeracy skills. Preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience in Office or Fund Administration however this is not essential. Applicants will have sound IT skills coupled with solid communication and organisational techniques whilst also possessing initiative. This role will suit a proactive and detailed team player with strong interpersonal skills.
