An individual with at least 5 years' industry experience and an awareness and understanding of local regulatory requirements is required to join this busy team for a 6 month contract to provide additional support to complete the implementation of the new take-on system.

Responsibilities

Duties for this placement will include, but will not be limited to:

Providing support to the client take on team with all aspects of the client take-on process and running of the team.
Assisting with training the relevant teams on CDD and databases.
Preparing client and matter files and opening the new matter.
Ensuring that team members are trained on how to perform client screening, internet searches and other appropriate checks.
Liaising with clients as appropriate.
Prioritising and tracking the progress of CDD documentation and matter opening and obtaining progress updates from the client or fee earner as appropriate.
Reviewing the work of more junior staff to ensure that regulatory requirements are met.
Ensuring that practice areas are supported, trained and educated so that take on occurs efficiently and effectively, to include attending the practice area team meetings as appropriate.
In consultation with the relevant fee earner agreeing the approach to obtaining additional information.
Liaising with members of the compliance team as required for guidance and advice and arrange compliance sign off of client take on files.
Ensuring the completion of PEP submissions to the PEP/Risk Committee are managed in a timely manner.

Skills / Qualifications

Ideally educated to A-level or equivalent standard, with an ICA or other relevant compliance qualification and good technical knowledge relating to AML legislation, along with strong IT skills, good interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues and clients, a solution driven attitude to problems and the ability to work methodically and accurately are essential to the role.
