Our client, a global leader delivering innovative investment, fund, fiduciary and banking solutions is seeking to recruit a Financial Reporting Accountant.

Prepare the timetable for accounts production.
Circulate timetable to clients and other interested parties.
Design the proforma accounts on Excel/Word, ensuring that layout, content and disclosures are in accordance with the Principal Documents of the fund ,legal, GAAP and other requirements.
Agree the proforma with the client and other interested parties incorporating their comments.
Plan and coordinate the dividend exercise with clients and other departments.
Prepare available income schedules and dividend input forms.
Notify interested parties that a dividend has been declared.
Liaise with other departments regarding the closing down of the accounting periods.
Check ledger integrity.
Compile the accounts using Excel/Word workbooks.
Prepare a standard accounts file.
Complete appropriate checklists.
Coordinate the audits and assisting with audit queries.
Liaise with printers.
Prepare accounts for Manager review.
Process review points.
Send accounts for inclusion in board packs
Submit GFSC and Stock Exchange notifications and announcements.
Liaise with other departments in collating information for US tax and other tax reports.
Prepare and submit Guernsey tax returns.
Assist more junior staff members to fully complete the accounts preparation process, assist with clearing audit or client queries.
Act as mentor to trainees, delegate certain tasks, set priorities, monitor their progress and conduct constructive reviews of their work.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Maths. Candidates will possess a minimum of 1 years’ experience Funds and Financial Services and 1 year PQE and hold a relevant professional Accounting qualification. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge in UK GAAP/ IFRS, Accounting Standards, Preparing Accounts, Guernsey Company Law and London Listing Rules, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
