Our client, an international leader in the financial services sector, with a legacy of outstanding service for over a century, is seeking to recruit a Depositary Services Manager.

Responsibilities

Ensure good corporate governance and compliance with all regulatory requirements, such as POI and COB Rules.
Develop and maintain effective channels of communications both internally (including board reports and presentations) and externally with clients, the GFSC and industry bodies.
Ensure relationships with clients, internal outsource partners and other relationships are supported with the appropriate documentation, commercials and ongoing oversight processes.
Oversee and coordinate and/or undertake due diligence reviews.
Provide support to new business activities including prospective client due diligence visits and oversight of on-boarding activities.
Assist with outsourced activities and recommend strategies for further leveraging the company's global operating model.
Provide management reporting and participate in internal governance forums.
Lead a team of subject matter experts, responsible for their ongoing development, training and ensure they are motivated to achieve business objectives and their own personal goals.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have industry experience providing designated trustee and/or custodian services, and will hold or be working towards a relevant financial services qualification, such as ACCA, ICSA or STEP. Broader knowledge and experience within the financial services industry of custody, administration, trustee or investment management is essential to the role, as is experience of traditional and alternative investments, such as Private Equity, Hedge, Property and Debt, outsource arrangements and conducting due diligence visits. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of managing people effectively an enquiring and forensic mind-set with an analytical approach to investigations and the confidence to challenge individuals and processes as appropriate. The role will suit a proven communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to produce and deliver clear and concise reporting and who applies accuracy and attention to detail on all duties.
