Our client, a provider of specialist services to professional, corporate and private clients is seeking to recruit a Depositary Analyst.

Undertake problem solving and apply a high level of attention to detail.
Monitor and control all incoming communication, ensuring that it is directed appropriately.
Oversee and control all outgoing communications to ensure correspondence, calculations and presentation of work is of a high standard, at all times.
Monitor the training requirements of team members and disseminate training recommendations.
Ensure that all work carried out by the team complies with the Funds' documentation, the company’s policies and procedures and the regulatory requirements.
Support the take-on of new clients, including the preparation of material, evidence gathering and systems setup.
Prepare fee quotes for potential new clients.
Monitor and sign-off on processes carried out, in accordance with the procedures and checklists.
Review and evidence, capital, investment and cash transactions.
Perform quarterly bank and investments ledger reconciliations, to check the consistency of the depositary’s cash position with those of the fund.
Support the Compliance Manager to obtain and review evidence in support of the independence and qualification of the investment valuation process.
Ensure that the AIF has ownership of assets and obtain documented evidence of verification.
Support the production of all necessary reporting to the regulatory authority.
Respond to all client questions and requests, in a timely manner.
Reconcile the records of sub-custodians, for review by the team managers.
Collaborate with the team managers.
Carry out risk assessment to identify risk items, which require investigation and/or further escalation.
Complete a depositary checklist when required.
Ensure agreed timelines are adhered to.
Reconcile and evidence investment statements.
Regularly review procedures and if appropriate, recommend changes.
Undertake ad hoc projects on an ongoing basis.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good academic background and hold a relevant qualification in the administration of private equity funds. Preference will be given to candidates who hold an ICSA qualification, however an ACCA/ACA would be suitable with proven company secretarial practical experience. Applicants will demonstrate previous management experience within a financial institution, along with a good knowledge of legal regulatory and industry requirements. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as strong problem solving abilities. This role will suit an adaptable and proactive problem solver, who has an analytical and organised approach with the ability to work under pressure and meet set deadlines.
