Our client, a Channel Islands retail group, is seeking to recruit a Customer Services Representative.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Collecting and correctly inputting all customer data that is required by the business.
Handling all customer financial details in an appropriate manner, as specified in the agreed finance processes.
Dealing with customers in a polite and friendly manner which maximises customer retention and exceeds customers’ expectations of service.
Identifying all current customer needs, and investigating future potential needs though effective account management, fully utilising the company sales approach, in order to present customers with the relevant products and services that will contribute to their retention.
Creating and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of competitor activity and developments, and record them within the appropriate internal systems.
Ensuring customer complaints are handled in a polite and effective manner and are appropriately logged on the complaints system.
Assisting with answering queries and enquiries from customers within the Channel Islands.
Ensuring all incoming calls are answered and dealt with accordingly.
Liaising with other departments’ reference accounts.
Ensuring that all high level complaints are flagged immediately with the Customer Services Manager.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to A Level standard, possess experience in a customer services and general administration environment and will be comfortable using Microsoft Suite. Applicants will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, complimented by an acute commercial awareness. The successful candidate will be a professional, self-motivated problem solver, who is a good listener and keeps a constant focus on the business and clients’ needs. This role will suit a confident, organised and dynamic team player, who performs well under pressure and applies attention to detail on all duties.
