Our client, a leading independent offshore bank, is seeking to recruit a Credit Risk Officer.

Ensure that all credit procedures and administration are carried out in accordance with company's policies.
Maintain the quality of the loan book administration, ensuring that appropriate authorisations are obtained.
Obtain and continually maintain credit facility documentation, including legal documentation, security documentation and legal opinions.
Assist and ultimately undertake a full and in depth review of credit facilities, as well as analysing supporting security and providing clear, accurate and comprehensive reports to Credit Risk Management.
Provide recommendations on any action deemed necessary to maintain the quality of credit facilities.
Supply accurate and timely reporting of the information required by the board, head of office and regulatory returns.
Participate fully on projects, or any other ad hoc requirements, which senior management may nominate for the overall benefit of Guernsey/European operations.
Maintain and action the diary system, ensuring action points are carried out.
Contribute to the monitoring of security provided, reviewing security as necessary in order to identify as any emerging difficulties with security cover as early as possible.
Ensure that all credit and security documentation is properly taken and is effective for its purpose under relevant laws and jurisdictions, and that periodic reviews are made to ensure the documentation’s ongoing validity.
Guarantee that credit documentation is signed by Borrowers, including Facility Letters, Board Resolutions, Mandates and third party Guarantees/Indemnities, while at the same time ensuring that the documents are effective for their purpose.
Assist with the safe keeping arrangements for credit and security documentation ensuring they are both secure (under dual control) and orderly and recorded on the relevant systems.
Ensure the continuing quality of the company's credit card and staff loan facilities, through careful analysis in accordance with group policies, before credit card facilities are granted and through early identification of any emerging problems.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have previous administration experience within the financial or banking sectors. Applicants will be willing to learn about and continually develop an understanding of securities markets and London property markets, and the nature of investments including relevant laws in both the UK and other jurisdictions. The successful candidate will value attention to detail and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as strong judgement and problem solving abilities. This role will suit a motivated team player, who is able to manage their work effectively, whilst under pressure.
