Our client, a full service community bank and a provider of specialised international financial services, is seeking to recruit a Corporate Actions Custody Administrator.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Monitor the receipt of corporate action events, set up new files and update ongoing files as necessary.
Ensure corporate actions are processed accurately in a timely manner; diaries are to be monitored to ensure all instructions are issued within relevant deadlines and each issue regularly monitored to ensure updates are received and actioned.
Notify clients of all corporate action, meetings and related events, including full details of the issue, instruction options, where to send instructions and deadlines.
Ensure the checking of client instructions are compliant with their mandates for signing purposes.
Issue instructions tour Global Custodian or the Fund Administrator, company or their agent, completing all necessary checks regarding positions, clients and restrictions as detailed in the instruction checklist.
Ensure the teams corporate action records, filing and diary systems are update and monitored on an ongoing basis.
Upon receipt confirmation of share and cash movements in respect of relevant action types, ensure allocations and entitlements are checked and agreed.
Update records to reflect correct holdings on the client custody accounts.
Bring to the attention of the Manager any aspects of the Departments activities that could give rise to particular risk or inefficiencies or which you believe may be in contravention of the applicable rules.
Ensure that all client queries and all other communications are responded to in a timely manner, in line with Bank guidelines.
Investigate and report any issues identified to the Supervisor and Custody Services and resolve within proper escalation guidelines and procedures.
Develop knowledge of the system support available including BM+, T24, Online Links with Sub-Custodians, IDS, Bloomberg and Microsoft Office Systems.
Ensure that all transactions fees are calculated and collected in an efficient manner.
Assist with other areas of the Corporate Action Team where required, including processing of cash dividend options events.
Bring to the attention of the MLRO any accounts or transactions causing the jobholder to be suspicious of Money Laundering activity on the part of the client.
Ensure scanning and profiling of completed files is kept up to date.
Undertake any specific duties or projects as requested and required by the Supervisor, Custody Services Manager or Head of Custody.
Ensure all processes are in accordance with procedures and all check completed as detailed in the relevant checklists at each stage of the processing of the event.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to an A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Maths. Candidates will possess prior experience in Corporate Actions, Custody or Banking. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge in Corporate Action Events, Global Custodians Software Book Cost Calculations and Reporting, IDS and Bloomberg, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
