Our client requires a Contract Senior Compliance Analyst for a period of 6 months.

Responsibilities

Interpret and apply relevant international and local regulations to the business such as AML/CFT & Regulatory.
Perform monitoring in accordance with the Annual Compliance Validation Testing program and to ensure all action items raised as a result of said monitoring are escalated where appropriate and are worked to a conclusion.
Produce various Management information reports for the Board, Senior Management and various Committees regarding Compliance monitoring.
Analyse data and reports and produce meaningful and concise summaries.
Help to encourage a compliance culture throughout the Business.
Liaise effectively and persuasively with other managers and staff across the Bank and Trust Company’s departments and sister companies, so that compliance monitoring and training is effective and at the same time is viewed positively by management and staff.
Identify data quality issues, recommend solutions and implement change.
Undertake any ad-hoc requests by the Compliance Officer/MLRO when necessary.
Provide assistance to the business to ensure full alignment with regulatory requirements as it pertains to Financial Crime reporting requirements for Banking and/or Trust activity.
Be able to provide relevant guidance to the business as it relates to Financial Crime queries such as Customer Due Diligence, Risk Ratings; the application of the Group’s Financial Crime Group Minimum Standards and any specific Bank-related Financial Crime requirements in place within the Group.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have relevant compliance/financial crime experience with knowledge of the Banking, Investment and/or Fiduciary financial industry sectors within Guernsey. Knowledge of Guernsey legislation and regulations preferably including the Guernsey AML regulations is essential to the role as is the ability to adapt to change and work flexibly. Applicants will have strong communications skills, both written and spoken and the ability to work to exacting deadlines. Accurate report preparation and report writing skills is a prerequisite to the role. The successful candidate will have good prioritisation skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. The role will suit an organised individual who has proven analytical skills and solid interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication to all levels of staff and the ability to work under their own initiative to meet deadlines.
