Our client based in Guernsey, requires a Private Equity Accountant for a 12 Month Contract.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Preparing, reviewing and circulating accounts, tax timetables and management fee calculations.
Supporting the planning process and liaise with fund administrators.
Advising on potential accounting issues and best practices.
Issuing tax forms to investors, prepared by client tax advisers.
Dealing with investor queries.
Ensuring effective communication with clients and other associated parties.
Compiling client reports.
Designing Pro Forma accounts and ensuring they comply with the appropriate regulations.
Maintaining capital accounts for limited partnerships.
Checking and maintaining ledger activity.
Liaising with the team during closing down of accounting periods and completing the appropriate checklists.
Preparing accounts for manager review and board packs.
Providing information for US and UK tax returns.
Checking bank account reconciliations and cash reports.
Carrying out bookkeeping and cash management, including more complex transactions.
Calculating the call and/or distribution amounts for recommendation.
Liaising with client, investors and financial institutions regarding receipt/payment of monies.
Reviewing and maintaining accurate records.
Carrying out various company secretarial duties, such as preparing and reviewing company minutes and agendas.
Assisting with the transfer of shares or Limited Partnership Interests.
Monitoring compliance and regulation.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be part or fully ACCA/ACA qualified, with good knowledge of bookkeeping, regulatory issues, accounting standards and Guernsey Company Law. To have experience in a Fund or Private Equity environment and an understanding of Macros would be highly advantageous, but not essential. Applicants will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will be proficient in Microsoft Excel. This role will suit a highly organised and client focused team player, who performs efficiently against strict deadlines and demonstrates strong time management skills, applying attention to detail and accuracy on all tasks.
