Our client, a large provider of a full range of private banking services for both private and institutional clients, requires two Contract Compliance Officers/Assistants until the end of 2021.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support services to the Head Compliance.
Hold responsibility for the accuracy and execution of allocated tasks as part of the Compliance Monitoring Programmes.
Assist in identifying and appropriately managing compliance risks and assist in the development, enhancement and implementation of active Compliance Monitoring Programmes.
Participate actively in the assessment of risks associated with our client base, particularly during the “take-on” phase.
Provide support services to management and staff in respect of basic legal and compliance matters.
Distribute new and amended policies and directives to the relevant policy “owner”.
Take responsibility for monitoring Themis, disseminating information therein, and initiating name searches where necessary.
Assist with the management of BMO initiatives and CUR requirements.
Provide secretarial services as required.
Assist with the CMP design and subsequent testing of the Branches and the company's FATCA compliance.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess experience in either compliance or private banking and will hold a relevant professional qualification such as ICA certificate level. They will demonstrate strong IT abilities, along with effective communication and negotiation skills and the ability to stay firm under pressure. A basic knowledge of applicable laws, codes and regulations is essential to the role as is the ability to use initiative and to work with minimum supervision. The successful candidate have a business minded approach with good risk awareness and focus and who pays meticulous attention to detail on all tasks. The role will suit an adaptable team player with an enquiring and analytical mind, with solid interpersonal and problem solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
