Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

Understanding regulatory requirements and expectations for the corporate licences held.
Reviewing and reporting the findings for various compliance reviews in line with the compliance monitoring programme.
Understanding the compliance procedures and company policies necessary to fulfil the compliance functions on a day to day basis.
Maintaining and updating the various compliance registers and logs to evidence the compliance department has completed appropriate checks in accordance with GFSC and other regulatory requirements.
Pro-actively participating in updating compliance monitoring programmes as necessary for efficiency and regulatory changes.
Maintaining and updating any regulatory changes to the country sanctions list in conjunction with team members and the Head of Compliance.
Checking all electronic data against our computer data base to ensure there are no matches for restricted individuals or companies for criminal activity as described in the AML/CFT regulations.
Completing client risk and periodic file reviews.
Maintaining departmental procedures and assisting with enhancing existing procedures.
Proactively identifying processes and procedures which may need strengthening.
Writing new procedures as requested.
Developing and implementing a file review programme, and a compliance monitoring programme.
Assisting the Head of Compliance to coordinate and organise the production of the Compliance input for management meetings and board meetings.
Providing support with developing in-house training and coordinating external training where necessary.
Assisting with the preparation and submission of regulatory returns and responses.
Liaising with the GFSC and other bodies, as requested by the Head of Compliance.
Reviewing and advising on client due diligence requirements.
Completing various checks on new business relationships and ensuring client risk profiling is accurate and correct.
Setting up new relationships on the various systems, and completing the new business checklists, ensuring all procedures are followed.
Dealing with the compliance administration of closing existing structures and relationships.
Providing advice to colleagues on compliance requirements and procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

A relevant professional qualification, with a positive attitude and proven software skills, along with effective communication skills and the confidence to communicate with people at all levels of the business, solid problem solving capabilities, and the ability to interpret data and work to deadlines are essential to the role.
