Our client, an online gaming company, is seeking a Compliance Monitoring Officer.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Working closely with and under the guidance of the Chief Compliance Officer.
Supporting the performance of the compliance monitoring function and the implementation of the compliance monitoring programme.
Performing detailed analysis and assessments of compliance-risk control data by way of the compliance monitoring programme.
Utilising the data to provide an assessment of the design and effectiveness of the company’s procedures and controls in meeting its regulatory requirements.
Detecting compliance-risk control weaknesses and issues, and working closely with control owners, in conjunction with the chief compliance officer, to address concerns.
Providing and contributing to the building of key procedures and controls.
Participating in the compliance and risk committee, who reports to the board of directors and to the business risk assessment panel as part of the operating governance framework.
Engaging fully, as required, in external audits and compliance assessments conducted by several gambling commissions and any other regulatory bodies or third-party audit companies.
Supporting the chief compliance officer in reporting breaches, complaints and other incidents to the appropriate committees for onwards reporting to internal and external bodies, as these arise in the performance of this project.
Participating in other operating governance committees and panels as required.
Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities such as; reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participating in professional organisations.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of degree level or equivalent and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Compliance Monitoring. Candidates with a membership of a professional organisation and experience in the egaming industry would be preferable, but not essential. The role will suit a self-motivated, pragmatic individual, who operates well in a fast moving and dynamic environment. The successful applicant will have good communication and organisations skills, with the ability to work within a team in a multi geographical environment, form good working relationships and works well under pressure.
