Our client is an independent company, specialising in providing investment management services in the UK and internationally, are seeking to recruit a Compliance Manager.

Participate and actively engage in the performance management process to attain and maintain competence with the role.
Comply and adhere to rules and regulations as stated by the regulator and set out in the internal policies.
Identify and minimise or escalate risks when identified in line with the Group Risk Policy.
Manage the compliance team.
Ensure the Group business has effective systems, procedures and controls to demonstrate compliance with regulatory requirements, including anti money laundering and client data security.
Assist and report to the board on CMP actions and follow ups.
Report to the head of compliance and board.
Liaise with the GFCU,
Act as the main contact for STR or SAR.
Receive SAR’s, review, and externalise to GFCU if necessary.
Promote and train staff on AML/CFT requirements and changes.
Report monthly to the board.
Perform periodic AML/CFT reviews on clients.
Monitor and updating AML procedures and policies on an ongoing basis.
Provide staff training.
Maintain registers.
Collaborate with the Risk and Head of Compliance to implement and maintain financial crime, sanctions and terrorist financing policies and procedures.
Manage the AML function ensuring all the business has sufficient understanding, policies and procedures in place.
Liaise with client facing staff in collating client documentation for compliance files.
Oversee entity setup.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to minimum A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Math. Candidates will possess considerable experience in a similar role and hold a relevant professional qualification. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge in GFSC Rules, Financial Services Regulatory Environments and Guernsey Law and Regulations, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
