Our client is looking for a compliance professional with 3-5 years' experience to provide further support to their Guernsey Compliance function. If you have a knowledge of the Guernsey regulatory framework in respect of trust and funds and an eye for detail, this position might be for you.

Responsibilities

Maintain an understanding of the regulatory requirements within Guernsey.
Understand the compliance procedures and company policies necessary to fulfil the compliance functions on a day to day basis.
Review and report the findings for various compliance reviews in line with the compliance monitoring programmes.
Be responsible for preparing and monitoring of the GFSC Portal.
Maintain and update the various compliance registers and logs to evidence compliance with appropriate Policies, Procedures and Controls.
Update and maintain any regulatory changes to the country risk lists in conjunction with team members and the Head of Compliance.
Check all electronic reports against the computer data base to ensure there are no matches for restricted individuals or companies for fraud, drugs or any criminal activity as described in the AML/CFT regulations.
Assist the Head of Compliance to co-ordinate and organise the production of the Compliance Board pack for Management meetings and quarterly board meetings.
Perform real time reviews of high risk payments.
Assist with special projects, external reporting and communications.
Offer assistance with the preparation and submission of regulatory returns and responses.
Liaise with the GFSC and other bodies, as requested by the Head of Compliance.

Skills / Qualifications

In addition to 3-5 years' relevant compliance experience within a trust or fund environment, the ideal candidate will be full or part-qualified in Compliance/AML (or equivalent) with experience of C6/Worldcheck systems and a high proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The successful candidate will be analytical, demonstrate problem-solving and numeracy skills and will work well both as part of a team and independently. Excellent communication skills are essential, as the successful individual will need to communicate effectively with colleagues, GFSC, Directors and other bodies as required, as well as produce regular reports.
