Our client is seeking a Client Accountant to provide support to the Manager / Director on an ongoing basis to ensure the efficiency of the Company is maintained, whilst being proactive in the management of staff to ensure that they uphold the policies and procedures of the Company as a whole.

Assist with the review of the booking of time for the section on at least a weekly basis.
Assist with the monitoring and control of all incoming communication to ensure that it is directed to an appropriately skilled member of the team.
Oversee and control all outgoing communications to ensure correspondence, calculations and presentation of work is of a high standard at all times.
Monitor the training requirements of team members and put forward training recommendations initially to the Managers and then once agreed to Human Resources to arrange suitable training courses.
Assist with the monitoring and sign-off on processes carried out in accordance with the procedures and checklists.
Oversee and ensure that the rules, regulations and procedures are adhere to at all times.
Assist with the development and training of staff.
Develop and maintain effective relationships between individual members of the team.
Develop the capabilities of team members in order to facilitate motivation and empowerment.
Responsibility for client portfolios.
Assist with the delegation and control of workloads in the section.
Responsibility for client portfolios.
Assist with the ongoing review and updating of the procedures of the section.
Undertake and assist with the sections workloads as necessary and when required.
Develop and maintain a good relationship with clients of the Company.
Deputising for the Section Manager as and when necessary.
Make positive suggestions as to how effective changes can be made to improve the procession of the workflow.

Skills / Qualifications

The suitable candidate will be educated to at least A level standard and have previous financial statement preparation experience within a financial institution and ideally in a Private Equity Administrative area. A professional qualification ACCA/ACA or ICSA or other similar level qualification, or part-qualified status is required. Professionalism with client focus and adaptability, interpersonal skills and a team orientated attitude are essential, as is knowledge of legal, regulatory and industry requirements, business processes, standards, policies and procedures. You will have excellent communication and good team building skills.
