A varied and hands-on opportunity for an experienced individual to step into a supervisory role within the aviation refuelling sector. Working within a well-established organisation, the successful candidate will oversee a team of airfield refuellers and take responsibility for day-to-day depot and vehicle operations at Guernsey Airport. The position combines operational oversight with facilities management, offering excellent scope for development and progression.
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
- Supervising a team of airfield refuellers conducting commercial and private aircraft refuelling.
- Managing the airport depot including fuel stock control and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety and maintenance protocols for vehicles and depot infrastructure.
- Liaising with airport authorities to coordinate fuelling operations and uphold regulatory standards.
- Monitoring and maintaining vehicle records, inspections and servicing requirements.
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting through internal IT systems.
- Supporting the Head of Operations in delivering efficient and compliant airport fuel services.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in aviation or fuel logistics and a strong understanding of HGV operations and vehicle maintenance. Prior supervisory experience is preferred, along with excellent organisational and communication skills. A high degree of IT literacy is essential, as is the ability to work effectively under pressure in a safety-critical environment.
