Our client, an international provider of advisory, audit and tax services are seeking to recruit an Audit Manager.

Plan, coordination, control and review of all work in assigned portfolio, ensuring effective and efficient client service and encouraging the team to exceed client expectations.
Manage team members, providing effective coaching to support on-going development and ensuring team are fully and properly briefed prior to any assignment.
Appraise the team ensuring an effective two-way process, providing constructive feedback, seeking feedback and identifying training needs.
Deliver training on identified topics to impart knowledge and ensure the development of the team
Oversee WIP and monitoring time charges to clients, reviewing and controlling non-productive time of the team and ensuring targets as set by the Directors are met.
Support the Audit service line in maintaining audit manuals ensuring they are kept up to date
Review progress on assignments against budget, investigates variances and cost over-runs and initiates appropriate action to resolve any potential or actual problems.
Responsible for effective resourcing of the team, short-listing potential new candidates and actively participating in the recruitment process.
Support the Director in setting of budgets and fee levels to ensure the team is a profitable service line in accordance with the firm’s business plan.
Contribute to the execution of the firm’s service delivery methods and actively promotes the firms services in the wider community.
Support the Director by actively managing ongoing client relationship, resolving any issues and maintaining consistent high quality service and introducer retention.
Participate in marketing activities and fully involved in proposal writing and presentation in order to retain business and win new contracts.
Act as an ambassador of the firm, building relationships and promoting the firm at every opportunity to facilitate new business opportunities.
Support the Director in quality control monitoring, measuring engagement quality and putting in place remediation plans where shortfalls against agreed standards are identified.
Support the Audit service line in maintaining audit manuals ensuring they are kept up to date.
Ensure that Voyager is effectively implemented and used in all assignments.
Support the business ensuring that the firm is registered in all cross-border audit jurisdictions to comply with cross-border audit firm registration requirements.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be educated to minimum A Level standard or equivalent, with good English and Math. Candidates will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Audit and hold a relevant professional Accounting qualification. Candidates will demonstrate a range of experience and knowledge of the audit role and function of audit for a large range of different entities, in particular financial service clients and has a good understanding of audit techniques including planning, interviewing, documentation, testing, conclusions and reporting, in addition to solid IT abilities, strong organisation and communication skills, both written and verbal. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to effectively manage time, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines, whilst working within a team as well as independently. This role will suit a highly motivated, proactive and meticulous team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
