Our client, who specialises in private banking and wealth management is seeking to recruit an Assistant Private Banker.

Provide credit services and advice on proposals, renewals and ongoing effective management of credit facilities, including proactive management of arrears, overrunning facilities.
Manage clients to achieve their individual and contribution towards team objectives.
Continuously seek out and pursue new opportunities, including prospect coordination, client on boarding, action planning and client retention.
Conduct regular client reviews of banking, credit and execution only clients, to establish areas of improvement and recommend strategies to meet both client and Bank objectives.
Identify up sell opportunities to full service investment relationship, where appropriate.
Monitor and schedule regular client meetings, to ensure top quartile clients are met at least once per year, where banking and credit only relationships.
Ensure completion rate of Periodic Client Reviews (PCRs.)
Collaborate with in-house specialists, such as business development, credit advisory, portfolio management and Investment advisory teams to maximise client service and opportunities through analysis of regular client reviews and use of management information.
Articulate difficult messages and decisions, through effective communication and verbal reasoning.
Undertake timely and accurate sales reporting, to provide weekly visibility of pipeline ensuring accurate record data relating to commercial activities.
Complete two observed client meetings, to ensure that technical and regulatory competence achieved.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with commercial functions, particularly investment management, advisory, wealth planning, credit and market solutions.
Ensure that the product offer and support provided, meet client’s objectives.
Provide support functions with ideas and feedback to improve efficiencies and client service standards.
Coordinate action with all support functions, notably risk and compliance.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a good academic background, with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in the banking sector. It is highly advantageous to have some knowledge of legal regulatory and industry requirements, along with business processes, standards, policies and procedures. Preference will be given to candidates who are in the process of attaining a relevant investment qualification, such as a RDR qualification, or who wish to pursue this. Applicants will be IT proficient and confident to operate various in-house systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate good communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by the ability to prioritise tasks and perform efficiently to meet deadlines.
