Our client, a provider of services which support the establishment and ongoing administration of corporate, investment, trading and trust structures, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Manager for their Client Services Team.


Guernsey, Channel Islands


Administering a portfolio of complex clients including the preparation and/or review of relevant documentation in an accurate and efficient manner, maintaining a courteous and professional approach with both external and internal clients at all times.
Ensuring that client files are maintained to a high standard.
Assisting the technical queries that arise within the team, guiding and training more junior members.
Maintaining relationships with clients and developing a full understanding of client business in order to improve the scope of services and proactively discussing those opportunities with clients.
Assisting with the day to day management of a team of administrators in the absence of the Manager, controlling and supervising the workload to ensure work is completed in an accurate, efficient and timely manner and advising on technical matters or client-related problems.
Utilising management reporting information to monitor and manage progress on key performance indicators such as debtors, accounts and reviews.
Completing time sheets to ensure clients are billed for time expended.
Demonstrating an ability to draft minutes and undertaking preliminary reviews of external legal documents.
Acting as a “B” Signatory to check and authorise work of the Client Services’ teams.
Networking with intermediaries and relevant business contacts to enhance the opportunities to do business with them.
Undertaking any other reasonable ad hoc tasks that may be required.
Ensuring compliance with company standards, policies and procedures.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of company law and administration along with a minimum of 6 years’ experience, preferably with 2 years’ in a supervisory role. The applicant will hold or be working towards a relevant qualification such as STEP or ICSA, and will possess a good understanding of any relevant tax legislation and external regulations and legislations, with a willingness to understand tax changes as they arise. They will maintain and develop good IT skills and be able to demonstrate skill set across the business systems as well as understand the internal policies and procedures including anti-money laundering risk ratings and signing limits. The role will suit a committed individual with good communication, organisation and time management skills who has the ability to deal with difficult and sensitive issues. The successful candidate will be willing to learn and attend seminars, presentations as needed and will be able to meet with clients and professionals in both a social and business context. The candidate must be able to travel to meet clients and professional contacts as required.
