Our client, a firm providing a broad range of risk, retirement and health solutions, is seeking to recruit an Assistant Financial Account Manager.

Responsibilities

Assist their Line Manager with the day to day management of junior team members.
Hold responsibility for the delivery of a high quality service, ensuring that all client service standards are met for the portfolio of clients.
Offer support to the wider banking and treasury functions, as needed.
Ensure all documentation, correspondence and telephone calls are dealt with effectively, efficiently and accurately.
Produce, review and authorise Management Accounts including statutory accounts within preset time frames.
Hold responsibility for all treasury matters, including authorising the release of investments reports to clients.
Assist with introducing and maintaining appropriate reconciliations and controls framework to ensure companies under supervision are compliant at all times.
Produce budgets and forecasts in conjunction with the relevant client needs.
Develop and maintain knowledge of company matters, such as insurance and accounting standards.
Attend Board Meetings, including the presentation of accounting and investment matters.
Follow the Office Procedures Manual, in particular in relation to check lists, supporting information, authorisations, sign-offs and time scales.
Ensure that subordinates follow the Office Procedures Manual.
Attend to company secretarial matters.

Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working within a banking, or treasury department in an accounting, or financial environment. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a relevant insurance, or accountancy qualification, although this is not essential. Applicants will have a good working knowledge of IT systems and accounting related software, along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
